Leadership
Our mission at Seton Hill University is to educate students to think and act critically, creatively and ethically as productive members of society; Students who take on leadership roles provide themselves with opportunities to apply these skills to better themselves and their community. Students who are willing to become involved provide themselves with significant opportunities to explore interests, develop skills and abilities, apply classroom learning in practical situations, gain professional experience, develop leadership competencies, and cultivate an appreciation of the diverse world in which we live. Involvement also provides opportunities to meet new friends, participate in community service, work with others around shared goals and interests, and become peer mentors.
In conjunction with Seton Hill Government Association and the Office of Activities and Commuter Life, Seton Hill University provides students with a wide variety of leadership opportunities and supports several types of student groups. They include over 40 registered clubs and organizations, seven honoraries, two writing publications, 9 musical groups, 19 athletic sports teams, and four class boards. For more information on any of these organizations, contact the Office of Activities and Commuter life at (724) 830-1076 or at steel@setonhill.edu. Involvement opportunities also exist in athletic organizations, the intramural program, and in experiential learning. |
