Bio
After graduating from Seton Hill with a BM in Music Education, I continue my education with graduate studies at Duquesne and Temple Universities. I am also a board certified music therapist as well as a certified instructor of the Alexander Technique. My lessons are integrated with a therapeutic, holistic, educational approach which includes attention to performance anxiety skills while addressing healthy technique, study pieces, solo pieces, ear training, and theory. I began teaching piano lessons at Seton Hill in 1990 through the Community Arts Program. I have a broad base of musical studies including piano, guitar, voice, and children's choir as well as movement studies including T'ai Chi chuan and authentic movement. I frequently attend workshops and conferences to stay current of new trends. I am a member of the American Music Therapy Association. |
