Bio

Donald J. Rinchuse, DMD, MS, MDS, PhD is professor and graduate orthodontic program director. Prior to coming to Seton Hill University, Dr. Rinchuse was Clinical Professor of Orthodontics at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine with 34 years of service. Dr. Rinchuse has been involved in both orthodontic education and orthodontic practice for more than three decades. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and an editorial consultant for many of the leading orthodontic journals, including the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. He has authored over 120 papers including a book and several book chapters. He is an internationally recognized figure in orthodontics particularly for his work on the topic of "Occlusion and TMD." HIs seminal work and publications in dental education in the 1980's led to the development of Problem-Based Learning in dental education. He has made many presentations including those at the American Association of Orthodontists Annual Sessions.
