Payments

University bills for the semester are due August 20 for fall, January 20 for spring, and June 20 for summer. Writing Popular Fiction Program bills are due June 20 for fall and December 20 for spring. Orthodontic Program bills are due June 20 for summer. The university accepts cash, checks [payable to Seton Hill University], money orders, bank-issued debit cards, wire transfers or credit cards (VISA, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, Diners Club International and JCB). All cash payments must be in U.S. funds and all checks must be drafted from a U.S. bank.

Unpaid balances are subject to a monthly late fee of 1.5% of the unpaid or undeferred balance.

The student is responsible for all collection costs, including attorney's fees and other charges, necessary for the collection of any amount not paid when due.

Seton Hill is a nonprofit institution of higher learning. In establishing a student's account, if credit is extended solely for the purpose of financing a student's education, any balance due is considered to be a student loan and will be non-dischargeable under the federal and state laws governing bankruptcy Chapters 7 and 13.

Tuition refunds upon total withdrawal are subject to University policy as stated in the catalog.
