Student Accounts
Advance Deposits
TUITION
- The student is allowed to request a refund of an advance deposit if he or she notifies Admissions of the request in writing by a specified date (the date is publicized in the acceptance letter).
- The student may also defer the advance deposit TWO TIMES for a subsequent future semester.
- There is no deadline on when the student must notify Admissions of his or her intent to defer.
- After the second deferral, the money is forfeited, even if the student decides to attend. The student has to re-apply and re-deposit.
- If Student Accounts receives a withdrawal form, the deposit is forfeited.
- If the student withdraws and does not attend school, and requests the refund after the specified date, the money is forfeited and not refunded.
ROOM
- The student cannot request that a room deposit be refunded and STILL LIVE ON CAMPUS FOR THE FUTURE SEMESTER.
- If the student is NOT going to live on campus for the future semester, a request for a refund must be submitted to the Student Accounts office, in writing, by a specified date (the date is publicized in the room deposit letter).
- If the student has no balance, is not returning to school, and the request is received after the specified date, the deposit is forfeited and the school keeps the money.
- If the student requests a refund of the room advance deposit on time and in writing, Student Accounts will verify that the student is not going to live on campus, and the student is refunded the advance deposit after the deadline for notification.
- If the student:
- Is either not attending OR not living on campus for the future semester, AND
- The student has a balance from a previous semester, AND
- The student requested a refund of the advance deposit on time and in writing, then
- The school reserves the right to use the advance deposit to offset against the previous charges.
- The student is refunded any remaining credit left on the account.
