Advance Deposits

Admissions Deposit
  • Undergraduate Students
  • Fall - If the student paid an advance deposit yet never enrolled, they can request a refund of the $100 admissions deposit by May 1 of the current year. Once enrolled, but prior to the start of classes, if the student decides not to attend, they can defer twice (there is no deadline as to date of deferral notice). After the second deferral, the deposit is forfeited and the student must reapply and redeposit. Once enrolled but after the start of classes, if student withdraws, the deposit is forfeited.

Spring - Deposits from transfer students who never enroll are not refundable. Student can defer until fall if they notify Admissions by May 1.

  • Graduate Students
  • The deposit is good for the academic year for which the student plans to begin his/her studies, unless the student defers. If the student does not enroll and does not defer, the deposit is forfeited.

  • Adult Degree Program Students
  • No deposit required.
Housing Deposit - All Students
Fall - Room deposit carries forward until student graduates or stays enrolled in classes but moves off campus. If student is not enrolled for fall, student must notify Residence Life in writing of request for refund by June 1. If student is not enrolled and does not request refund by June 1, deposit is forfeited. After student graduates or moves off campus, if no housing fines, deposit is either applied against current tuition charges or refunded.

Spring - Room deposit carries forward until student graduates or stays enrolled in classes but moves off campus. If student is not enrolled for spring, student must notify Residence Life in writing of request for refund no more than two weeks prior to the start of spring classes. If student is not enrolled and does not request refund two weeks before start of spring classes, deposit is forfeited. After student graduates or moves off campus, if no housing fines, deposit is either applied against current tuition charges or refunded.
