Deadlines
FAFSA
Complete the FAFSA or Renewal FAFSA electronically or by mail as soon as possible after January 1st and no later than May 1st.
STATE GRANT
The FAFSA form is the initial application for State Grants, however there is a deadline by which the form must be completed.
Filing Deadline: Depends upon your home state.
- PA - May 1
- WV - March 1
- OH - October 1
- DC - June 28
- MA - May 1
If your state is not listed, please refer to the FAFSA website.
SHU FINANCIAL AID APPLICATION
Returning students who received University Grant/s, Scholarship/s, Job/s or Loan/s must complete this form by March 31. These forms will be distributed by the Financial Aid office in February.
TAX DOCUMENTS (1040 & W2)
Students chosen for verification by the Federal Processor will need to provide tax documents to our office. It will be necessary for you to submit signed copies of your Federal Tax Return and W-2s, as well as those of your parents/spouse. If we request these documents, please respond to our request as quickly as possible and include copies of all schedules and forms that were submitted to the IRS with the tax return.
