Youth Honors Band
Kathleen Campbell, Guest Conductor
Founded in 1989, the Youth Honors Band is an enriching opportunity for student musicians in grades 6-8. After the initial audition, selected band students meet for three rehearsals, the last culminating with a banquet and concert. Additional performances include the opportunity of performing with the Westmoreland Symphonic Winds on the Pops Concert in April.

Auditions are held in late October or early November and rehearsals are December, January and February. The concert is part of the day of the last rehearsal. Applications are available from the Director of Community Music (724-552-2923, walters@setonhill.edu).

Flute Choir and Clarinet Choir
Natalie Williams and Michele Boulet, Coordinators
The Flute Choir and Clarinet Choir are currently open to middle school through high school age students that have had at least two years experience at school and/or with private lessons. Tuition is $60 per semester. Choirs meet each semester, with sufficient enrollment.

This is a chance for younger students to experience chamber music. The students will have basic musical and technical concepts reinforced and rehearse music in a small ensemble setting. Performances will be scheduled when possible.

The flute choir is coached by Michele Boulet and the clarinet choir by Natalie Williams. The rehearsal schedule for each ensemble will be set by the coach.
Westmoreland Apprentice Chorus
This chorus is designed for young children who have little or no experience singing in a group setting. Children learn the basic fundamentals of singing in a children's chorus. This chorus serves as the training unit of the Westmoreland Children's Chorus.

This chorus is open to children in grades 2 and 3, with 4th graders added at the discretion of the director. Weekly rehearsals are held on Tuesdays from 5:00-5:45 p.m. Fee: $35.

More information is available from the Director of Community Music (724-552-2923, walters@setonhill.edu).

Please call or e-mail if you would like to register (724-552-2923, walters@setonhill.edu).
