Visiting Teams
Use of the Field House and McKenna Center Training Rooms
We welcome you to Seton Hill University. If treatments are required prior to the contest, they will be administered in the Field House and/or McKenna Center athletic training rooms. Available equipment includes: moist heat, electrical stimulation and ultrasound as well as a variety of ice treatments. The following emergency equipment will be available during all competitions: Automated External Defibrillator, spine board, vacuum splints, SAM splints, crutches, infectious waste disposal and first aid supplies.
If a Certified Athletic Trainer is not traveling with a visiting team and an athlete requires a treatment, we ask that you please call ahead to make arrangements or send a note accompanying the athlete with specific instructions to parameters or taping technique. If you have athletes needing to be taped, please provide a stocked kit with the supplies necessary for each athlete.
The athletic department at Seton Hill University encourages that a Certified Athletic Trainer travel with high collision sports. If a Certified Athletic Trainer is not traveling we ask that you please call ahead of time so appropriate arrangements can be made.
Supplies furnished during home contests will include: a 10 gallon cooler of water, 1 ice chest, and infectious waste disposal. If any extra necessities are required by your staff, please contact us so that accommodations may be made in advance.
