Seton Hill Women's Tennis
The 2009-2010 version of the Seton Hill Women's tennis team will be led by head coach Tony Grenek. This year's squad is an experienced one as four seniors return to the court for their final season. They include Tiffany Gilbert, Noelle Harrold, Clare Simmers and Bethany Merryman. Sophomores Leara Glinzak and Maria Mastromatteo join incoming freshman Julia Madigan to make up this year's squad. Coach Grenek states, "Our girls are up against a tremendous challenge playing in the WVIAC Conference. We are finally able to compete in our conference tournament which is an honor and will be very challenging. Hopefully, we will be playing our best tennis by tournament time."
The women's fall schedule includes a nonconference against St Vincent before playing their first WVIAC match when they travel to Charleston. The Griffins then take on other WVIAC members Fairmont State, Shepherd, West Virginia State, Concord, Bluefield, West Liberty and WV Wesleyan before competing in their first WVIAC Championship on October 22.
