Men's Soccer Cruises to 4-0 win over Ohio Valley

The men's soccer team defeated Ohio Valley 4-0 on Saturday. With the win, Seton Hill finished up the regular season with a 10-6-4 overall record (6-3-1 in WVIAC). SHU got on the scoreboard first when Joel Zalesky found the net at the 15:00 mark. Mike Oliver then, scored five minutes later to give SHU a 2-0 lead going into the half. Only 2 minutes into the second half, Paul Cornelius took a Joel Zalesky pass and was able to find the net giving SHU a 3-0 lead. Garrett Fishaw closed out the scoring off of a Mike Pistentis feed in the 55th minute. SHU led in shots 16-8 over Ohio Valley. Jon DeLuca also recorded another shutout win and finished with 4 saves on the day. Although it was Senior Day for 7 of the team members, (Mike Powers, Tony Safran, Garrett Fishaw, Mike Oliver, Joel Zalesky, Tom Caruso, and Mike Pistentis), it will not be the final game of their career. SHU has clinched the #4 seed in the WVIAC tournament. SHU will be hosting West Virginia Wesleyan on Tuesday afternoon at 3 PM in first-round tournament action.
