SHU Sweeps Season Series From St Vincent

The Griffins defeated St Vincent 3-1 on Monday afternoon to complete the home and home sweep of the Bearcats this season. The Griffins improve to 7-11 on the season. St Vincent opened the scoring with a goal at the 27 minute mark and took a 1-0 lead into the half despite being outshot by a 6-2 margin in the half. Lynette Mhangami evened the score at one just four minutes into the second half. Allegra Ramos put the Griffins up for good with a goal at the 52:10 mark. Krista Archambeau wrapped up the scoring with a goal seven minutes later. Nadine Wallace recorded two saves in net to earn the win. The Griffins outshot the Bearcats by a 18-4 margin in the game. The Griffins will wrap up the 2009 season when they travel to Mercyhurst on Wednesday.
