Griffins Defeat Alderson Broaddus 2-1

The men's soccer team defeated Alderson Broaddus 2-1 on Saturday. With the win, SHU improves to 8-6-3 overall (5-3-1 in WVIAC). In the 21st minute of play, Alderson Broaddus put the ball in their own net off of a SHU corner kick. Almost 15 minutes later, Mike Pistentis scored off of a nice pass by Mike Oliver. The Griffins took a 2-0 lead into the half. Alderson Broaddus scored at the 73 minute mark but was not able to tie the game up. SHU owned a large advantage over Alderson Broaddus in shots at 25-9. Jon DeLuca recorded another win in goal and had 2 saves. With the win Saturday, Seton Hill has qualified for the WVIAC conference tournament. The Griffins next travel to Cal U on Monday to take on the Vulcans at 3:00 PM.
