Women's Tennis Earns First WVIAC Tournament Victory

The women's tennis team earned their first ever WVIAC tournament victory on Thursday. SHU defeated Davis & Elkins 6-1. In the match, Leara Glinzak and Maria Mastramatteo won 8-0 at #2 doubles. Noelle Harold won 6-1, 6-0 in #3 singles. Leara Glinzak won 6-0, 6-0 in #4 singles. Also, Tiff Gilbert won 6-0, 6-0 in #5 singles. SHU picked up two forfeit victories as well. The red-hot Griffins play again tomorrow at 11 AM against West Virginia Wesleyan. The Bobcats better watch out because it seems that head coach Tony Grenek has this SHU team peaking at just the right time. Stay tuned to see the results of tomorrow's big match!
