Deena Salameh got the Griffins on the board first when she scored off of an Amber Mondock assist in the 38th minute. The Griffins went to half with a 1-0 lead. Much of the second half remained scoreless until, in the 87th minute of play, Mondock sealed the game off of a pass from Alysha Alaimo. For the game, SHU owned a 12-10 shots on goal advantage over Lake Erie. Also, Sam Gilarski was solid in net for the Griffins preserving the shutout with 5 saves. Next up, SHU travels to conference foe Wheeling Jesuit next Tuesday. Game is slated for 7:00 PM.
