The Griffins opened the tournament with a 3-1 win (25-23, 17-25, 25-19, 25-12) over Wilmington (DE) on Friday afternoon. SHU then dropped a 3-0 decision (25-13, 25-15, 25-18) to the host school West Chester on Friday evening. The Griffins won both of their matches on Saturday, defeating Daemen 3-1 (20-25, 25-19, 25-19, 25-18) and then sweeping Chestnut Hill 3-0 (25-12, 25-16, 25-13). SHU will open up WVIAC play on Tuesday when they host Fairmont State.
