Men's Cross Country Wins Cal of PA XC Invite

Running with a full healthy squad for the first time this season, the men's cross country team won the 2009 Cal of PA Cross Country Invitational with a strong performance from their entire top 5. Leading the way for the Griffins was Mike Ortiz finishing 2nd overall running the 8,000m course in a time of 26:39 the number 2 runner for SHU was Jon Bogert finishing 4th overall with a time of 26:53, Dominic Camasso finished in 5th place on the day with a time of 26:59, Justin Weaver finished in 10th place overall completing the course in a time of 27:34 and rouding out the top 5 for the Griffin's was Jess Bradley finishing in 17th place overall running a time of 28:20. "This was a big step for our team today running as a pack and posting some great 5 mile times this early in the season." The men will be back in action next Saturday as they travel to Davis and Elkins Collge for the annual Forest Festival.
