Archambeau Scores Game Winner in OT

Junior Krista Archambeau scored her third goal of the game 1:55 into the first overtime period to give Seton Hill a 5-4 come from behind victory over Adelphi in the Griffins season opener. The Griffins overcame a 4-1 deficit in the last 20 minutes of the second half to force overtime.
Adelphi scored the game's first two goals in the first eight minutes of the game. Archambeau tallied her first of the game at the 22 minute mark of the first half to cut the lead to 2-1. Adelphi scored just two minutes later and took the 3-1 lead into the half.
Julianne Gerbino scored her fourth goal of the game to give Adelphi a 4-1 lead with 20:31 to play in the half. From that point on it was all Griffins. Breanna Wong cut the lead to 4-2 at the 16:40 mark. Allegra Ramos scored less than one minute later off of a penalty corner from a feed from Michelle Hogan. Archambeau tied the game with just 3:38 to play off a feed from Ramos. Archambeau then gave the Griffins the victory with her overtime game winner. Hogan picked up her second assist on the game winner. Nadine Wallace earned the win in net, making two saves on the second half and overtime.
SHU will hit the road this weekend with games at Catawba against Catawba and Limestone.
