Griffins rout Converse on Senior Day

Seton Hill used smothering defense and 11 second half goals to secure their second straight win, 18-2 over Converse on senior day at Offutt Field. Ellen Einsporn scored four goals and Elyse Branam scored three to pace the Griffins. Seton Hill improves to 5-11 on the season.
Seton Hill took a 7-2 lead into halftime and outshot Converse 19-6 while picking up 18 more ground balls in the half. Seton Hill shut out Converse in the second half while scoring 11 goals. Seton Hill ended the game with a 35-13 advantage in shots.
Ellen Einsporn picked up six points on the game (5+1) while Elyse Branam scored a hat trick. Stephanie Lazzaro (2+1) and Heather Donovan (2+1) also picked up three points in the victory.
Jillian Kowalewski (2 goals), Ashley White (1+1), Amanda Malkowski (1+1), and Desiree Palmieri (2 goals) all picked up two points.
Julie Woodburn made 10 saves in net for her fifth win of the year.
Seton Hill will return to action on Saturday when they host IUP for their last contest of the year.
