Wrestlers Compete at Hitchcock Memorial Tournament

The Seton Hill Wrestlers competed this weekend at the Shorty Hitchcock Memorial Tournament on the campus of Millersville University and had their best performance to date.

Josh Testa, Nick Nichols, Dallas Evans and Nick Padezan all reached the semifinals before being defeated or defaulting out of the tournament. Nick Nichols medically defaulted before his semifinals match due to a slight injury; Testa, Evans and Padezan all lost hard fought semifinal matches. The four semifinalists finished with 3-2, 2-0, 4-1 and 3-1 records for the day respectively.

Buck Watkins, Guy Dedola, Randall Wagner and Lewis Spadaro all won one match. Dedola suffered an injury in his second match and was forced to medically default out of the tournament.

Kurt McCamley and Quade Miller both finished with 2-2 records while Logan Downes and Kenny Trumbetta both wrestled to 4-2 records for the day.

The Hill Wrestlers compete against Waynesburg University and West Liberty State College on Tuesday, January 13 at Waynesburg University and also competes against Shippensburg University Thursday, January 15 in Sullivan Gymnasium on the Seton Hill campus at 7:00pm.
