Seton Hill Equestrian
 On October 16th, the Seton Hill University Equestrian Team kicks off the 2011- 2012 show season with their first show at Slippery Rock University’s Storm Harbor Equestrian Facility. The team is looking forward to another great year, despite losing six seniors in 2011. Last year, the Seton Hill Equestrian Team ended the season with a third place finish in their Region, which consists of 14 colleges and universities. They also had their largest showing at the Regional horse show (a qualifying show) with seven girls representing the University. Marissa McIsaac and Alexandra Kemp-Thompson then qualified to go on to the Zone 6 Championships. Alexandra Kemp-Thompson competed in the Intermediate Over Fences class, and placed 8th. Marissa McIsaac competed in the Intermediate Flat class, and placed 10th. This season the team will again compete in the newly realigned IHSA Zone 6, Region 5 horse shows; a very competitive Region and Zone.
This year the team welcomes new riders Caitlin Henzey (Beginner Walk/Trot/Canter), Juliana Caffery Intermediate Flat and Novice Over Fences), Elaina Moorehead (Walk Trot), Lauren DeCarli (Walk Trot) and Jenna Bodnar (Beginner Walk/Trot/Canter). Returning team members are: Alex Kemp-Thompson (Open Over Fences and Open Flat), Taylor Jansen (Open Flat and Intermediate Over Fences), Erin Gindlesperger (Intermediate Over Fences and Intermediate Flat), Lauren Sitler (Novice Over Fences and Novice Flat), Carly Malone (Novice Over Fences and Novice Flat), Marissa McIsaac (Novice Over Fences and Open Flat), Erica McCarthy (Novice Over Fences and Novice Flat) and Molly Follmer (Walk Trot – soon to be Walk, Trot, Canter). Captain for the team this year is senior Erin Gindlesperger and Co-Captain is senior Marissa McIsaac. Secretary is sophomore Lauren Sitler and Public Relations is junior Molly Follmer.
