Endowed Scholarships
Ada Fiorelli Waddell '70 Endowed Fund for Adults Students at Seton Hill University
Candidates will be degree-seeking students enrolled in the Adult Degree Program (ADP) at Seton Hill University who demonstrate financial need. The adult student may be full-time or part-time but must have been enrolled at Seton Hill for at least one semester prior to receiving the award. Candidates will have maintained a cumulative 3.0 grade point average.
Appalachian HealthCare Human Resource Society (AHCHRS)
Deadline: March 31
Applicants must be majoring in Human Resources (or a related field), in at least their junior year of study and enrolled on a full or part-time basis in an accredited college or university located within Pennsylvania.
Best 50 Women in Business Scholarship Fund
Deadline: May 19
All applications must be postmarked by April 19, 2008. No late or incomplete applications will be considered. All applicants are required to attach proof of graduation from high school or G.E.D. completion to the application form. Proof of Pennsylvania residency will be required prior to the disbursement of scholarship funds. Essay responses cannot be more than two typed pages, using not less than 10-point type.
Carat Scholarship Foundation
500-$1000 scholarships each semester to both undergraduate and graduate students who are U.S. citizens. Carat Scholarships are awarded on the basis of career goals, financial need, and academic record.

Recipient must be a currently enrolled undergraduate student, must have completed 24 semester hours or equivalent, must have a minimum QPA of 3.5, financial need will be used as criterion (students should have filed a FAFSA), essay 500-1000 words, two letter of reference.
District 12 BPW Tribute to Women Scholarship (Business & Professional Women's Club, Inc)
Deadline: March 15
This scholarship is for non-traditional students seeking additional education for career advancement or to re-enter the job market. Applicant does not have to be a member of BPW.
Fayette County N.A.A.C.P Non-Traditional Scholarship Award
Deadline: April 30
Applicants must be non-traditional students who are residents of Fayette County; Must be of African-American descent; 19 years or older and have been out of school for 1 full term. Applicant must demonstrate that he/she has adult responsibilities e.g. live independently in an established household or is a single parent with primary responsibility of caring for a child. See application for education requirements.

Jeannette Rankin Foundation
Applications for the 2009 school year will be available on this site starting November 1, 2008. Applicant must be a woman, age 35 or older, a U.S. citizen, enrolled in, or accepted to, an accredited school, pursuing a technical or vocational education, an associate's degree, or a first bachelor's degree, and have low-income according to the U.S. Department of Labor's Lower Living Standard.
John Gyles Education Awards
Deadline: June 1st
Available to both males and females in all areas of post-secondary study. A minimum of a 2.7 GPA required. Additional criteria are listed on the application form. Full citizenship required.
Katherine Mabis McKenna
Deadline: May 31
All applicants must have completed one year in an accredited college pursuing a degree in botany, horticulture, forestry, landscape architecture, or other related field. Award eligibility is determined on the basis of scholastic standing, proven financial need, and general ability. Graduate students are also eligible to apply for the scholarship. Mabel Poole Scholarship

Scholarships will be awarded to Westmoreland County students
Martha Raak Adult Scholarship Fund
Applicants must be a degree-seeking adult (23 years or older), completed a minimum of 24 semester hours at Seton Hill University and hold a QPA of 3.5 or higher and be a member of ASL, transfer students included. Recipient must be a member of Alpha Sigma Lambda. Recipients will be chosen on basis of academic credentials and according to financial needs.
McKeesport Business & Professional Women's Club
Deadline: March 15
Candidate must be 25 years of age or older, and seeking education or training necessary for entry into or advancement within the workforce. Must send a 500 word essay describing career goals and why the applicant should be the scholarship recipient , current transcript or academic progress record, 2 professional or academic letters of recommendations, and financial need statement.

Murryville Woman's Club Scholarship

Must be a woman who is a Westmoreland County resident at least twenty-one years of age.
National League of American Pen Women, Inc.
Deadline: January 15th - even year only
35+ years, entries must be in art, letter, or music, and must be accompanied by a check or Money Order for $8.00. Scholarship is given in even years only.
National Society of Accountants (NSA) Scholarship Awards.
Deadline: March 10
Only U.S. or Canadian citizens attending an accredited U.S. business school, college or university. Students enrolled in a degree program at an accredited two- or four-year business school, college or university. Students majoring in accounting with a "B" or better average.
North Hills Community Outreach College Scholarship
Grants up to $2,000 per semester may be awarded, depending on financial need and availability of funds. Applicants must reside in or attend school in northern Allegheny County and demonstrate financial need. Most scholarships are granted to nontraditional-age students.
Pennsylvania Federation of Business and Professional Women's Clubs
Deadline: October 1 for Spring Semester, May 1 for Fall Semester
Interested in furthering education and have been accepted at an accredited institution; resident of Pennsylvania for at least 2 years or BPW member for 3 years; U.S. citizen; have proven financial need; submit a complete application with supporting data by deadline; must have had application approved by appropriate committees for PA Federation of Business and Professional Women's Clubs Inc.
Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA) (Workforce Advancement Grant for Education)
Deadline: November 15
Pennsylvania resident adult student. Have filed a FAFSA and considered an independent student. Must have a high school diploma or GED. Not in default on any federally guaranteed loans. WAGE fund given on financial need basis.
Seton Hill University Transfer Scholarship
To be eligible, a student must be accepted to Seton Hill for full-time study, submit a Seton Hill Financial Aid Application, have attended their most recent college for at least one year as a full-time student, attendance at that institution and the qualifying G.P.A. must be no older than one year at a time of application, have obtained a 3.5 G.P.A. full time program.

Talbots Women's Scholarship Fund
Deadline: January 2
Must be a woman currently residing in the United Stated who plans to return to an accredited four-year college or university in the fall; plans to enroll on a part-time or full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited 2- or 4- year college, university, or vocational-technical school; Have at least two semesters (or a minimum of 24 credit hours) remaining to complete their undergraduate degree as of the beginning of the academic term.
Women's Opportunity Awards (Soroptimist International of the Americans)
Deadline: December 1
Must be motivated to improve skills and qualifications and can accept responsibility; head of household or have a family financially dependent on her, clearly indicated specific educational training is necessary for entry or reentry into job market, shows financial need, entering a vocational or technical program, or is completing an undergraduate degree.
Zonta International Foundation

Applicants must be in 3rd or 4th of business related undergraduate program, have an outstanding record, and demonstrate intent to complete a program in business. Applications available in the Financial Aid Office.
