The Seton Hill University Coverdell Fellows Program is a graduate fellowship program dedicated to developing tomorrow's leaders with a commitment to education through a global perspective while serving a local community. Depending upon the graduate program selected, fellows will participate in a two, three or four year study/work program while earning a master's degree in one of seven fields of study: Art Therapy, Elementary/Middle Level Education, Inclusive Education, Marriage and Family Therapy, Special Education, Business Administration (M.B.A.) and Writing Popular Fiction.

Fellowship terms can begin in the spring, summer or fall semesters.

To be eligible, applicants must meet the admissions requirements of the Seton Hill University Graduate Programs. In addition, all returned Coverdell Fellows Program Volunteers who satisfactorily complete their service have lifetime eligibility for Fellows/USA. Satisfactory completion means you:
  • Completed the full two-year tour of Coverdell Fellows Program service, or the full tour minus up to 90 days if you returned home on an emergency leave.
  • Received "Early Close of Service" or "Interrupted Service" status due to circumstances beyond your control.
  • Were medically separated as a Volunteer.
Coverdell Fellows Program Scholarship Applications are subject to approval by the director of the selected program of study.
