Alpha Sigma Lambda

What is Alpha Sigma Lambda?
Alpha Sigma Lambda is a national honor society for adult students in continuing higher education that:
  • Recognizes academic achievement.
  • Provides additional opportunities for academic engagement beyond the classroom.
  • Promotes socialization and support of fellow adult students.
  • Initiates networking among student and alumni.
  • Serves as an avenue for volunteer service.
What do members of Alpha Sigma Lambda do?
Members of Alpha Sigma Lambda meet approximately three or four times per semester to generate and share ideas for the development of academic advancement opportunities, social programs, fundraising, and planning for the two annual member inductions which are held in December and April. Members generate ideas and are supported in their programs and plans through the organization's staff advisor and the Office of Graduate and Adult Studies.
