Disability Services

The Office of Disability Services is staffed by the Director of Counseling, Disability and Health Services and the Coordinator of Disability Services. The staff provides students and faculty with assistance and information in meeting the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. The Director works closely with students with disabilities to assess individual needs and prepare a plan of accommodation. The Coordinator arranges the accommodations for students which may include note-takers, preferential seating, readers, extended time for testing; distraction reduced testing environments, access to special adaptive equipment and text on tapes.

Students seeking accommodation for their disability must notify the Office of Disability Services of their need for services and provide appropriate documentation of their disability.

Students who are eligible for services through the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation can meet with the OVR representative on campus. Please call the Office of Disability Services for details.
