Program Options

There are two paths of entry into Seton Hill University's Physician Assistant Program. Students may enter the Master of Science Program as graduate students who have already completed a bachelor's degree, or students may enter the combined Bachelor of Science/Master of Science Program as freshmen. We do not accept transfer students.

Freshmen - B.S./M.S. in Physician Assistant
This five year combined program allows high school graduates to earn both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant. The first two and a half years of the program are spent completing math, science and behavioral science courses and the core undergraduate degree requirements. In the spring of the junior year, students enter the graduate level physician assistant program. Upon successfully completing both phases of the program, the student receives a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science degree.

Graduate - M.S. in Physician Assistant
The graduate program is a 27 or 29 month program (length of time depends on research option chosen) that begins in January and graduates in May. Fifteen months are spent in the didactic curriculum (learning in the classroom.) Twelve months are spent in clinical rotations. In addition, each student is involved in research.  Upon successful completion of the program, the student receives a Master of Science degree.
