Admissions Information
All students with prior college experience must apply
through the Centralized Application Service for Physician Assistants (CASPA). High school applicants with no college credits can apply to the combined Bachelor of Science/Master of Science program through completion of the standard University Application.
Deadlines
Bachelor of Science/Master of Science - The deadline for an early admission decision is October 1 of the year prior to the fall semester (beginning in August) in which you'd like to begin studies. Applications received after October 1 are not guaranteed consideration for an interview.
Master of Science - The CASPA deadline is March 1 for admittance to the subsequent spring semester (beginning in January).
Please note: Seton Hill is no longer accepting students for the Master of Science in Physician Assistant Program course cycle beginning in January 2012. Any student submitting a CASPA application during the 2011-2012 CASPA cycle will be considered for admittance to the program in January 2013.
International Applicants
Applicants whose native language is not English are required to provide examination scores for the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or International English Language Testing System (IELTS).
TOEFL scores of at least 650 (paper-based) or 114 (Internet-based) or 280 (computer-based), or an IELTS score of 7.0, are required. Applicants to the Master of Science program should make arrangements to take the test as soon as graduate study at Seton Hill University is anticipated and should request that the official test score be submitted with the CASPA application. TOEFL or IELTS scores are required for all international students except those who are citizens of Australia, Bahamas, Canada (except Quebec province), Jamaica, New Zealand, Scotland, or the United Kingdom. Prospective students who have earned a bachelor or higher degree from the United States or from one of the aforementioned countries are exempt from the TOEFL/IELTS test. International students, upon referral by a Seton Hill faculty or staff member, may be required to undergo English as a second language testing to determine whether additional coursework for English proficiency will be required.
