Medical Technology Program

If you want to work in the laboratory to aid diagnosis and treatment, medical technology may be the field for you. As a medical technologist, you will contribute to the well-being of patients by performing and interpreting laboratory tests while using complex equipment. The results will provide doctors with the information they need to diagnose and provide quality treatment to their patients.

While you are studying, you will enjoy the advantages of Seton Hill's excellent program in science, its small classes and individualized attention, its well-rounded campus life, and its opportunity for close-working relationships with your fellow students and faculty. This aspect will be especially important for you as you become acquainted with your field and what may be your place within it. Your instructors will be happy to advise you about the kind of program that is best suited to your own skills, ways of working, and plans for the future.

As a medical technology student, you may choose either the three-year or the four-year program at Seton Hill. Whether to concentrate on biology or on chemistry as your major field is an option that is open to you.
