Career Opportunities
By providing general knowledge and skills along with instruction on specific topics, the Human Services program prepares students to work in a wide range of service-based careers.
In many of these fields, the need for well-trained workers is expanding. According to U.S. Department of Labor statistics, employment opportunities in the human services are expected to
grow "much faster than average" over the next decade. Examples of fields where career opportunities are growing are social advocacy, children’s services and care of the aging.*
The Human Services major provides the instruction in these fields that prepares students for successful careers.
