Admission Process

Students can begin the Marriage and Family Therapy Program in the fall, spring, or summer semesters. Students may elect to complete the program on a full time basis (6-7 semesters) or on a part time basis that will take longer depending on how many courses they elect to take each semester. Acceptance to the program is a multi-step process. The Marriage and Family Therapy program uses a recommended deadline for applicants of March 15th for fall admission and December 1st for spring admission.

Rolling admission will remain the program's admission policy with the clarification that we will accept a certain number of students each year. Once we meet our goal we will suspend new admissions until the next admission cycle.

Admission Requirements
The following must be received before your application will be reviewed.
  • A completed application. Apply online for free at apply.setonhill.edu.
  • Official transcripts from all undergraduate and graduate colleges and/or universities you have attended.
