Reeves Memorial Library
It is the goal of the library to provide the greatest possible access to its resources for library users. This goal is accomplished through its provided services, accommodations, and assistive technology.
To meet the information needs of all library users, Reeves Memorial Library offers the following services, some of which are available 24 hours a day, at its campus location and for SHU online learners:
- Reference assistance
- Facilities & equipment assistance
- Telephone/online reference
- Telephone/online renewals
- Suggestion boxes online & onsite
- Book requests online & onsite
- Interlibrary loan requests online
- Text telephone (TTY)
Reeves Memorial Library has various facilities, as well as various structural and locational accommodations to make access as easy as possible for our library users.

- Push button entry and exit
- Handicapped accessible restrooms
- Elevator access
- Handicapped online work station
- Handicapped video/DVD viewing station
Through a Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) grant, the library offers the following assistive technology to enable library users access to its resources:
- Optical character recognition device
- Video magnifiers
- Large screen DVD/VCR
- Speech recognition program with headset
- Large screen computer monitor
- Screen magnification software with speech recognition
