Scholarships
for Art Majors
Division of Visual & Performing Arts Scholarship
Talk with the art faculty or the Admissions Office about division scholarships. These scholarships are awarded based on portfolio review or audition.
Excellence is Rewarded at Seton Hill University
The awarding of the scholarship will be based solely on the quality of the art portfolio submitted; that is, on the basis of the excellence of the art work only. Other financial aid programs at Seton Hill University are available to students who demonstrate need or who would like to be recognized for academic merit.
You are Invited to Apply
If you wish to submit a portfolio for a division scholarship or acceptance to the art program, contact the Admissions Office at 1-800-826-6234 or admit@setonhill.edu. You can download the scholarship form by clicking here. Students must first be accepted to the University before scheduling a portfolio review or given consideration for a division scholarship.
You may schedule a portfolio review any time during the year by writing or calling the Office of Admissions.
During the visit, a personal interview will be scheduled with a member of the Art Program. You will be able to discuss the majors available at Seton Hill, and you can personally deliver your portfolio.
Students who are unable to visit the campus and drop off their portfolio for the scholarship are also encouraged to apply. Color slides, CD's, and e-mail submissions of your artwork are acceptable as a portfolio. All works must be submitted to: Art Program Director, Seton Hill University, or to the Admissions Office, no later than one day before the jury date.
The Josefa Filkosky Scholarship
This scholarship will be awarded annually to a junior or senior art major who has consistently shown outstanding creativity and involvement in the production of challenging and high quality art works and who also shows promise of being serious in their pursuit of continued growth as an artist and in their knowledge of art. |
