Accounting Program

Seton Hill's business programs contain some of our most popular majors, and for good reason.

Business students at Seton Hill enjoy courses taught by dedicated faculty members who have extensive career experience in their fields of expertise.

As we are a small university, you will have the chance to get to know your professors and your classmates, and to make new friends that will become your professional mentors and colleagues in the years to come. (You will also benefit from a network of successful businesspeople who are Seton Hill graduates.)

As an accounting major, you will graduate having completed a comprehensive, supervised internship - providing you with a "real world" understanding of your field and the type of experience that gives you a competitive edge in the job market.

Upon completion of Seton Hill's Accounting Program, you will be well on your way to completing the requirements necessary to qualify for the Certified Public Accountant and Certified Management Accountant exams (specific educational requirements for the CPA credential vary by state). And, as you will be studying in a business program at a nationally-recognized liberal arts university, you will receive not just the best in business education - you will graduate with a broad skill set and a deeper understanding of the arts, sciences and humanities.

Since 1885, Seton Hill has been preparing students like you to succeed in life, whatever you choose to do, wherever your life takes you. Here, you will begin a career path with the potential to change lives. You can count on it.

Business Programs and Specializations
Seton Hill's business programs offer you the opportunity to earn a Bachelor of Science in accounting, Bachelor of Arts in business, Bachelor of Arts in business with a specialization in entrepreneurial studies, Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts in business with a specialization in human resources, Bachelor of Science in business with a specialization in information management, Bachelor of Arts in business with a specialization in international organization, Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science in business with a specialization in marketing, or a Bachelor of Science in sports management.

You also have the option of specializing in more than one area of business. Seton Hill's business faculty will advise you throughout your academic career to ensure that your course of study continues to support your personal, academic and career goals. If you choose to go on to graduate school, Seton Hill also offers an MBA Program with specializations in entrepreneurship and management. A graduate certificate in entrepreneurship is also available.

Own What You Want to Be
At Seton Hill, we believe that entrepreneurs are not just business owners - entrepreneurs are people who own what they want to be. Seton Hill has a long-standing tradition of entrepreneurial thinking that began with our founders, the Sisters of Charity. The Sisters are pioneers in the fields of education and human services, and have made a tradition of managing risk and looking forward to the next challenge. At Seton Hill we teach entrepreneurial skills in every business major because we believe that the skills that make business owners, and leaders, successful will also help prepare you to take ownership of your future and your career.

The Wukich Center for Entrepreneurial Opportunities
The Wukich Center for Entrepreneurial Opportunities (Wukich CEO) enhances the University's business programs by providing students with unique opportunities through the Wukich Scholars and Wukich Interns Programs, and the Wukich Micro Loan Fund for Student Entrepreneurs. Wukich CEO also supports faculty research and curriculum development, to ensure that Seton Hill business students are always receiving current, comprehensive instruction.

The Farrell Programs for Innovation in Business
The Farrell Programs for Innovation in Business help Seton Hill students develop the entrepreneurial skills needed to compete in a rapidly changing world. The Farrell Programs, made possible by a gift from the Farrell Family Foundation of Pittsburgh, support the University in integrating entrepreneurship, grounded in the liberal arts, into all levels of the University's business and management programs. The Farrell Entrepreneurial Leadership Series, a program of The Farrell Programs for Innovation in Business, brings local, national and international business leaders to Seton Hill to share their insight and experience with students while addressing current business issues and trends.
