Academic Counseling

 
 

Academic counseling services provided at Seton Hill assist students to perform well in their classes, reach graduation successfully, and develop learning strategies that last beyond their college years.  

The Academic Counseling Office provides support with the development of study skills such as:

  • Note-taking.
  • Reading and understanding college-level texts.
  • Test-taking.  

In addition, students can get help with academic planning, including:

  • Time management.
  • Goal setting.
  • Creation of a graduation plan.

The Academic Counseling Office also provides students and faculty with up-to-date information on how students learn, what strategies work best in different learning environments, and how behaviors, attitudes and personal qualities factor into success.
