The Program in Music at Seton Hill University has a long and vibrant history dating back to its founding in 1918. From that very first graduate to the present day and beyond, the music program at Seton Hill has looked and planned for the future. A fully accredited member of the National Association of Schools of Music, our graduates have gone on to distinguished careers in education, performance, sacredmusic and many more music-related fields. Here students have the benefit of that long tradition as they study with artist faculty in a course of study that combines professional studies in music with the breadth of the liberal arts tradition. Music facilities include Cecilian Hall, noted for its excellent acoustics, a complete complement of classroom, rehearsal spaces and practice rooms, as well as a new, state of the art, music computer lab. The program offers a full range of ensemble experiences, from chamber ensembles and jazz ensembles, to the University Choir, Women's Chorale, and the Westmoreland Symphonic Winds and Westmoreland Youth Symphony, both groups being in residence at Seton Hill and serving as university ensembles. These cooperative arrangements allow students to have the benefit of a quality large ensemble experience within a more personal setting. This personal, mentoring approach, is a hallmark of music study at Seton Hill University. Courses of study lead to the Bachelor of Music in Music Education, Music Therapy, Performance or Sacred Music as well as the Bachelor of Arts in Music. A music minor is also available. Come and be a part of the Seton Hill tradition. Curt
