Seton Hill University Baseball completed its eighth season in 2011, posting a 33-15 overall record. The Griffins clinched their second WVIAC North Division title en route to their second trip to the NCAA Atlantic Region Tournament in as many years. 2011 marked the seventh consecutive winning season for Seton Hill Baseball as the program has amassed 248 victories in seven years, averaging 31 wins per season. The success of SHU Baseball at the Division II level is no surprise – the crimson and gold posted an impressive 45-20 record during their last season of NAIA play in 2006, taking home the AMC title, Region IX Championship and a berth in the NAIA World Series in Lewiston, Idaho. The "Tradition of Excellence" continues to grow...

We have developed our baseball program into a nationally ranked contender with a 100% commitment from players and coaches to constantly strive for excellence. Our success both on the field and in the classroom can be attributed to recruiting quality people first and great players second. Character has become the building block for our success and continues to be what we look for in potential prospects. We guarantee recruits only these things:
You will become part of a winning atmosphere – You will be pushed to work hard every single day on the field and in the classroom – You will be given the tools to reach your full potential as a person and a baseball player – You will take PRIDE in everything you do

Because of our total commitment to excellence, our team has consistently achieved over a 3.0 team grade point average for 13 straight semesters. At the conclusion of the Spring 2010 semester, our overall cumulative team GPA stood at a 3.24.

Seton Hill athletics and Griffin Baseball embarked on a new path in 2006-07 as new members of the NCAA Division-II and the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WVIAC). Along with our new affiliation, our on-campus artificial turf ballpark continues to grow into one of the best in the region. In the last four years, upgrades have included two full length batting cages, new 60-foot dugouts, foul poles, new outfield fencing, scoreboard and completely rebuilt bullpens, and permanent seating in the summer of 2010.

This is certainly an exciting time for Seton Hill Baseball as we continue to strive to compete for a National Championship each and every year. For Seton Hill Baseball to continue the "Tradition of Excellence" that has been built, we seek to bring into our program the highest level players possible and give them the best collegiate baseball experience possible.
